As the calendar turns to April and May, the 110° season looms and the second homes empty out for the year. So the demand comes in two clear pulses, and we work both of them: the fall open-up refresh when you land, and the larger spring pre-summer close-up when you go.
Both jobs are really the same idea — a light-touch cleanout that leaves the house exactly how you want to find it or leave it. That might be one old sofa and a garage tidy, or a full room of dated furniture cleared before a remodel. Snowbird homes are usually well-kept, so a cleanout here produces a lot of furniture and housewares that are still perfectly good — and that's the best part of the job. Rather than send it to Republic's Apex Regional Landfill, we route usable pieces to Goodwill of Southern Nevada, Deseret Industries, the Salvation Army, and Habitat for Humanity ReStore, several of which serve the valley's working families directly. A donation tax receipt is available if you want one — a nice bonus at a time of year when you're already settling accounts before you travel. Anything not donatable is recycled where possible, and only the genuine remainder is disposed of. All of it is inside your flat price, with no Nevada sales tax.
Winter residents cluster in a handful of communities, and we know each one's access. Sun City Summerlin — Del Webb's original Nevada 55+ community, roughly 7,800 single-story homes — and Sun City Anthem in Henderson, about 7,100 more, are the two anchors; both are easy single-story floor plans.
