Your Republic Services trash account includes an every-other-week curbside bulk pickup (line: 702-735-5151), but a refrigerator is the one item it treats as a special case. Because federal EPA rules require the refrigerant to be recovered by a certified technician before disposal, Republic makes you book a separate scheduled appointment just for the fridge — it can't ride out with the ordinary bulk items. It also eats your one-major-appliance-per-bulk-day allowance, it has to be at the curb by 5:00 a.m., and — the part that stops most people cold — crews will not enter your garage or kitchen. A 300-pound fridge at the back of a two-car Summerlin garage is yours to move to the curb before they'll touch it.

Republic's curbside bulk program and a delivery crew's one-for-one haul-away can't reach any of those.
