The homes are built on desert slab, so there's no basement to bury things in. Instead the accumulation collects in four predictable places: the garage that's been baking all summer and slowly filled with tools, bins, and bikes; the backyard, with its sun-cracked patio set and a grill nobody lights anymore; the storage shed in the side yard; and the covered patio where the outdoor furniture goes to fade. Clearing any of those is the everyday Mountain's Edge job.
And every one of them runs into the same rule: the master plan doesn't allow junk to sit at the curb, so the usual "drag it out and we'll grab it" hauler is the wrong fit. We do it the other way. The Mountain's Edge master plan sets community standards that restrict how long anything can sit at the curb, and a stack of junk out front is exactly what draws a violation notice. The free option — Republic Services' curbside bulk pickup, included with your trash service (call 702-735-5151) — doesn't rescue you either: it's every other week, capped at a 6-foot item limit and one major appliance per bulk day, items must be out by 5:00 a.m., and crews won't enter your property to get anything. A backyard hot tub, a full garage, or a fridge on the same trip as everything else simply doesn't fit — and freon appliances need a separate appointment on top.
